Neo Environmental Ltd was established in early 2012 to provide planning, EIA and technical services to the renewables, infrastructure, utilities and commercial market.

The company has been developed on the experience and knowledge of the core staff, who have all been highly involved in these industries over the past number of years. Both the directors and principal staff have market leading experience in the renewables industry, and have overseen the consent and development of numerous small, medium and large scale projects. Neo Environmental has developed significant contacts within the renewables and construction industries and have good links with university research departments. The company do not sell renewable energy products, what we do provide is independent and impartial planning advice.

Director Profiles:

Paul Neary BA, H.Dip, MA, Msc
Having originally worked in the capacity of both a Heritage and Archaeological Consultant for 5 years (prior to completing an Msc in Environmental Management) has enabled Paul to build up a highly successful EIA & Planning Department for one of the market leading wind energy Consultancies. Paul has significant experience in the Environmental sector having been responsible for the consent and post-consent monitoring works for development stages of major Wind energy developments, road and tunnel projects, harbour development and housing developments, etc. He has successfully developed and managed an EIA team of 20 staff in 3 different offices, and a portfolio of circa 500 projects. Paul has developed excellent relationships with stakeholders and has been involved in many wind energy working groups.

Michael McGhee Bsc, TechIOA
Michael’s environmental engineering background and technical knowledge has enabled him to become one of the most technically adept individuals in his fields. Michael has developed essential knowledge and skills to undertake Acoustic Assessments, RADAR Assessments and geo-technical investigations for numerous projects. Michael has acted as the technical co-ordinator on major wind energy portfolios for one of the largest wind energy companies in Scotland, where he developed their GIS and software programs. He has developed competent market leading technical teams for companies to ensure the compilation of thorough and robust assessments and reports.

As a multidisciplinary consultancy, Neo Environmental provides all the services required to gain successful consent for renewable energy projects, infrastructural developments, utilities and commercial developments. We can also offer post consent monitoring which is sometimes required by the Local Planning Authorities for specific projects.
