In late 2017 Neo Environmental carried out an historic building recording for a building in the town centre of Selkirk. It’s a former workshop that is now derelict and in bad condition.
A local charity group (Selkirk Hammermen) own the building and are looking to turn it into a community meeting hall and museum. A historic building recording was required as a planning condition for this as it sits within both a Conservation Area and the Philiphaugh Battlefield.
The renovation of this building is also part of a wider restoration plan for central Selkirk.
